A searchable directory of companies, ranked on evidence and filterable down to the parts they actually make.
Search around a metro area or your own location and set a radius. Results come back with the distance to the nearest public site of each company and are ordered by it, so a supplier two hours away does not sit above one across town.
Company profiles, capabilities, locations and catalogue lines are readable without an account, which is what makes them findable. Pricing, stock and contract terms are not on those pages at any point — they are excluded by the views the pages are built from, not hidden by the interface.
A supplier is invisible in the directory until they turn listing on, and turning it off withdraws the company, its locations, its catalogue and its certifications at once. There is no partially-listed state to misunderstand.
The search a specifying engineer actually runs, instead of the keyword search a directory usually offers.
